The promise

Your data is yours.

Your customers, their pets, your bookings — export all of it, free, any time, in a format any other system can read. And if you ever leave Sable, it leaves with you. That's not a support policy; it's written into our terms. We'd rather keep your business by earning it — Sable only earns when your diary fills — than by making it hard to leave.

What that means in practice

Four promises, none of them small print.

Export any time

One tap gets you your customers, pets and bookings in a common machine-readable format. No request forms, no waiting, no charge. Try it on day one if you like.

If you leave, everything goes with you

Our terms say it plainly: on termination, for any reason, Sable makes your data available and will not withhold it. Your bookings remain contracts between you and your customers.

Your money never passes through us

Customers pay into your own Stripe account — you are the merchant of record. Your price for the stay — your rate card, lifted for demand and never below it — stays in your account; Sable's booking-service charge to the customer is the only part that moves, passed to Sable by Stripe from inside the customer's all-in price. Your business is never billed anything, and your money is never ours to hold.

Leaving is boring, by design

Thirty days' notice, no exit fee, existing bookings unaffected. If Sable isn't earning its keep, moving on shouldn't cost you anything.

Why we put it in writing

Read any platform's terms before you sign.

Software promises live or die in the terms, and in this industry the fine print is often unkind. Two things worth checking with any provider: what rights they take over your content, and what happens to your data when you leave.

What some terms actually say

Fresha — one of the biggest booking platforms in the world, for salons and spas — takes in its Partner Terms “a non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable and worldwide right and licence” over partner content, and contains no obligation to return a partner's data on leaving. (Source: terms.fresha.com/partner-terms, read 17 August 2026.) Some pet-industry platforms' terms make the business pay the platform's “reasonable expenses” for returning its own data on exit.

What Sable's terms say

“Your data is yours. You may export your data — your Customers, their pets, and your Bookings — at any time, in a common machine-readable format… free of charge. On termination for any reason, Sable will make your data available to you and will not withhold it.” — Platform Terms for Businesses, clause 6.3.

Sceptical?

Good. Bring your hardest question.

Ask us about leaving before you ask about joining — we like that conversation.
